The Jayhawks fell to the Lansing Stars in their home opener 3-1 (25-19, 24-26, 16-25, 17-25) on Tuesday night September 3rd.
Despite a strong start, the Jayhawks struggled to find a rhythm to beat the Stars. Madison Babinec led the offense with 11 kills and picked up 9 digs. The Newaygo native, Kayla Fisk led the defense with 16 digs, added 6 kills, and 5 total blocks. Shelbie Schoenborn led the team with 36 assists.
Sophomore, Rachel Romero served up 4 aces and tallied 15 digs.
