MCC Handles LMC

The Jayhawks traveled to Lakeshore High School to take on the Lake Michigan College Redhawks.

The Jayhawks didn't waste any time opening up the scoring with three goals in the first ten minutes of the game. Bella Cifuentes assisted by Mallory Smith, opened up the scoring in the third minute. Two minutes later Brooklyn Watts joined the goal party with an assist from Lauren Riedal. Mallory had another assist this time to Ella King for the third goal of the match in just under 10 minutes.

Redhawks Eleah Headstrom found the back of the net to try and get LMC back into the game but the Jayhawks had found their rhythm and weren't holding back.

In the second half MCC put away three more goals all assisted by Bella Cinfuentes. Ella and Brooklyn both added another goal to their total and Lauren Riedal added a goal to go along with her assist earlier in the match. 

The game was an offensive display from the Jayhawks having twenty-one of their twenty-four shots on frame.

The Jayhawks next match up is against St. Clair Community College on Wednesday, October 2nd at 2pm at home.
