Jayhawks win again Over Kellogg
Jayhawks dominate Kellogg in route of 24 pt win
The Muskegon Jayhawks traveled south Tuesday afternoon to play the Kellogg Community College Bruins in their first road game after a strong four game win streak at home.
The Jayhawks had a solid start the first quarter. Leading into the second, there was a slight slowdown from the team that allowed the Bruins to catch up to the Jayhawks' lead. Coming into the fourth, the Jayhawks had a fire within (and that champion mindset) to outscore the Bruins 25-13 leading to their win of 81-62.
Leading the Jayhawks with a triple double was Tyvi Davis (#23). Davis had 33 points, 12 rebounds, 11 steals, and 2 assists. Also aiding the team was Anna Lundquist (#30) with 21 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 steals. Arrionna Williams (#20) with 14 points and 5 rebounds. And Kennah Vermerris (#21) with 5 points and 4 rebounds.
Head Coach Jason Cooper stated after the game "Another great win today on the road. Our first half we didn't play our best, but we came out after halftime and found a way to get a win on the road. I am proud of my team."
