Game 1: Alpena 8 MCC: 2
Despite a strong showing from Sydney Kirk and Grace Lewis, the Muskegon CC Jayhawks came up short in an 8-2 loss to Alpena CC 2025 on Friday. Kirk went 2-for-3 with two RBIs, and the Jayhawks turned a double play on defense. Delaney Vollmer struck out one over nearly five innings of work. The Jayhawks look to bounce back when they face Alpena again on Friday.
 
Game 2: Alpena: 7 MCC 4

The Muskegon CC Jayhawks fell 7-4 to Alpena CC 2025 on Friday despite a solid performance from Andrea Romero, who went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Grace Lewis struck out six over five-plus innings, allowing just three earned runs. The Jayhawks totaled eight hits but couldn't overcome a big fourth inning from Alpena.

 

Game 3: Alpena: 11 MCC: 3

The Muskegon CC Jayhawks dropped an 11-3 game to Alpena CC 2025 on Saturday, with a tough seven-run sixth inning proving the difference. Lauren Merritt led the Jayhawks at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Sydney Kirk struck out four over five-plus innings, allowing just four earned runs. The Jayhawks capitalized on an Alpena error to tie the game early but couldn't hold off the late rally.

 

Game 4: Alpena: 10 MCC: 17

Grace Lewis powered the Muskegon CC Jayhawks to a 17-10 win over Alpena CC 2025 on Saturday, driving in six runs with a double and a bases-clearing triple. The Jayhawks rallied twice, putting up six-run innings in both the fourth and fifth to take control. Lauren Merritt, Sydney Kirk, and Lewis each had three hits as Muskegon totaled 16 in the game. Delaney Vollmer earned the win in relief, and the defense backed her up with a clean game in the field.

The Jayhawks are now 13-13. The next games will be on Wednesday versus Delta College.
