Jayhawks Fall to Alpena CC, 5-1
Muskegon Community College dropped a 5-1 decision to Alpena Community College on Friday.
The Jayhawks got on the board in the bottom of the third inning with an RBI single from Brock Thornton.
Nick Wilson got the start on the mound, going seven innings and allowing six hits and five runs—only two of which were earned. He struck out four and walked four.
Thornton led the offense, going 1-for-3 with an RBI. Carter Hughes and Thornton each recorded a hit for Muskegon.
Jayhawks Drop 4-2 Contest to Alpena CC
The Jayhawks came up short against Alpena Community College, falling 4-2 on Friday.
Sean Shooltz got the start on the mound, tossing six innings while allowing seven hits and four runs—only one of them earned. The right-hander struck out six and walked two.
Dayton Thomas, Nathan Dodd, and Lawson Doyle each recorded two hits for Muskegon. Thomas went a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate and drove in the team's lone RBI.
